Activities

Coming up:
We are in the process of organising the following event. Regular planning meetings will be held before hand. If you would like to participate personally or if your organisation would like to take part and maybe run a workshop we would be delighted to hear from you. See the contact details below.

November 5th 2005

Diversity forum

Objectives:

a) To promote the relationship between different cultures with the intention to make each cultures’ interests and aspirations known.

b) To allow the development of a true dialogue, oriented toward the search for common interests, so that instead of growing mistrust and violence between cultures we may see dialogue and mutual respect; instead of uniformity, we may see the convergence of diversity; instead of fragmentation, we may see integration and the construction of a new, non-violent civilization.

c) To denounce and struggle against all forms of manifest or covert discrimination, through the development of different kinds of campaigns for improving the present and building a common future; promoting human rights and deepening the concept of active non-violence as a methodology of action.

Who can contribute?
Any person of any culture, language, origin, religion (all faiths and none) or belief that wants to collaborate. There are two minimum conditions for participation: the rejection of discrimination or intolerance and, the rejection of violence as a methodology of action for imposing concepts or ideals, no matter how elevated those concepts and ideals may be.

An invitation
You are invited to actively contribute to this project by helping with the organization and development of this Diversity Forum in your borough.
